It's a shame we live at opposite ends of the country (well, not even the same country really!) otherwise we'd probably meet up at Opens. The Welsh was just a bit far for us.

I think the ones we're planning on going to over the next six months or so are Slough, Nottingham and the Isle of Wight. Nottingham is usually a big one I think, though i'm not certain it's quite as huge as the way you described the Welsh!

I'm waiting to hear how you actually did...

Yup, the UK suddenly seems a largeish place :-)
Unfortunately, between Wales and the upcoming Miller-Hallet Cup (London Open), our competition budget has been/will be gone for a while.
I'm sure we'll catch up at something to do with fencing or Discworld sometime, though :-)

(meanwhile, I came 55th, the full results are up at the BFA website now ... )
