My bike's odometer now sits at 11679km. As far as I can tell, it was at 5346km at the end of last year, so I did 6333km last year. I think I managed at least one ride every week, too, even through winter. And of course, I did Around The Bay in a Day, my longest ride ever (even in the days where I was something vaguely like a serious racing cyclist), 212km for the day. So it was a pretty successful year for the riding !
I'm aiming to do a little more this year, around 6500km. Not sure if I'll do AtB again, but I'm planning to do the Kinglake ride in April or so.
On average, I've been managing to ride to work roughly three times a week. Since each daily train ticket would cost me $10, I've saved about $1500 over the year. Strangely, haven't needed any gym memberships or other exercise plans either ...
The only thing to suffer has been reading, since I normally only read books on the train - partial reading log to follow in another post, since I didn't keep good track of my reading for most of the year (until I started using Twitter, and got a phone that was useful for it).
