So, we appear to have survived The Wettening (clear winner on the polls the other day). Something like 70mm of rain in our area, and over most of Melbourne, since Friday evening. Haven't heard of any problems with flooding yet, but I'm sure there'll be some around.
Getting that much rain means, of course, that the workshop area under our house is flooded again - about 8cm of water in there (it can't get much deeper than that, the doorway has about a 10cm drop).
While I was down there to start pumping the water out, I found this fellow :

... I figured he's probably not all that strong a swimmer, so I carefully picked him up and put him on a rock outside. Anyone know what type of lizard it is ?
