Lovely sunny day outside today. Supposedly we've only reached 20°C or so, but it feels a bit nicer than that, and the next few days are supposed to be 27, 30, 25, 26, 26, 26. Ahh, now I remember why we're back in Australia.

Yesterday I went for a "little" ride, and ended up doing 50km - which is the longest ride I've been on for about five years. My legs are feeling a little tired today, but not too bad, and I'll probably try for another reasonable length ride on Monday. Fortunately my legs still remember how to get me moving - e.g. my ride yesterday took me back and forth on North Rd, which crosses the Nepean Hwy (four lanes in each direction at that point). Each time I managed to beat all the cars across the intersection when the lights changed - it's nice to have acceleration !

Today we've been house-hunting, and saw nine houses around Box Hill, Blackburn and Nunawading. A couple of them were very nice, and we could imagine ourselves living in them - one of them was even fairly close to a train station, and not totally outside our budget ! Now I just need to get myself a job and we can get our finances arranged and start the serious hunting. Whee ...
