I want a real estate search website which allows querying based on distance from nearest train station (and optionally tram stop / bus stop). (In Australia, Melbourne to be specific).

Does such a thing exist, and if not, who wants to pay me lots of money for the idea then take the idea away and develop it ? It'd make our house search much easier ...

(ideally it'd be backed by suitable GIS data to be able to answer other questions, like "show me houses less than 500m from a deli/snack bar/milk bar", and "where is the nearest pub?", and so on)

Location: Ringwood, east of Melbourne (very east of Melbourne, although the new tollway apparently makes it 20 minutes in to the city (when the traffic is light, so that'll be about 60-80 minutes at peak hour, I'd imagine ... )).
Weather: Warrrrrm. 27°C today, heading for similar tomorrow, and the next day, and a bit warmer after that (32ish or so), before a cool change comes through taking it back to 22°C or so with a few showers.
Situation: We appear to have just about bought a car. Wheee ! (Errr, it appears to be another Scenic. Funny how that happened :-) )
Plans: Get phone working (the Vodafone instant-prepaid-SIM pack failed at the first hurdle in activation, even worse than [livejournal.com profile] rwrylsin's ... ). Finish car buying, assuming no last-minute hitches. Buy bicycles. Join RACV. Set up joint bank account for [livejournal.com profile] rwrylsin and I. Find a job. Support [livejournal.com profile] rwrylsin on her second interview for a job on Wednesday morning. Relax. Catch up with people, at some point.
