Quoting from The Age from this article :
There'll never be a generation who'll see as much social change in their lifetime as the boomers. What 70-year-old would have believed that their child, their sibling or themselves could be openly gay, have children out of wedlock or be divorced and it not be social suicide? And who would have believed that Aussie kids would have rice crackers with seaweed, spanakopita and hummus in their lunch boxes? Society has undergone almost hydroponic growth in the past 45 years. What the heck is "hydroponic growth" ? I simply can't work out what they're trying to say there. We're all sitting in a greenhouse planted in a nutrient-rich solution ? What ?!
