Meanwhile, Glasgow has collectively barely noticed the G8 thing, as far as I can tell. I've noticed extra police around town, and I saw one person wearing a top hat and carrying a placard with a slogan wandering down Buchanan St at lunch time, but apart from that everything's been quite normal.
